Today’s Industry and environment is elevating the demand for Voltage Correction Solutions. ABB remains at the top of the food chain with the ABB PCS 100 line of Active Voltage Conditioners. The new ABB PCS 100 Systems can provide constant sag protection down to 50% remaining voltage on al three phases. The system can correct and maintain 100% voltage stabilization on the output.

Wide Range of Sizes and Voltages in New PCS 100

Now more sizes and voltages to choose from! In addition to 480V models widely available, the new system can accept and correct 380V, 400V, and 415V voltage input variations.

The high efficiency and compact Design of the PCS 100 is an excellent choice to fit into tight electrical rooms, and on the floor of production manufacturing environments. ABB systems are the choice for large industrial plants and environments experiencing large voltage variations that disrupt operations.

ABB PCS 100 models can be configured in a wider range of size options. 150kVA, 300kVA, 450kVA, 600kVA, 750kVA, 1000kVA, 1500kVA, 2000kVA, 3000kVA, and up to 12MVA.

The PCS100 AVC 400V application can be used in a wide variety of countries such as South America, Mexico, and Malaysia. Frequency adjustable systems also provide more flexibility.

ABB PCS 100 Corrects Large Voltage Sags

Unreliable and unstable power is a growing issue in large commercial and industrial environments. Unstable voltage provides undue stress on critical mechanical and control components. This constant variation in voltage can decrease the life of PLC’s, control boards, and system electronics. PCS100 constant voltage regulation holds the output voltage to 100% nominal target voltage through large and small sags and surges in utility power. These swings can be up to 40% drop in voltage and maintain constant output power.

Voltage Issues Affecting Industry

The electrical grid in all countries is taxed in today’s world. Climate change, demand on supply, natural disasters, and distance of power distribution, all contribute to the constant suspect power delivered to end user plants. All industry’s must take power regulation into their own hands. Utility Power Suppliers are not going to anytime soon start correcting power along the distribution lines. Power conditioning and voltage regulation is something that each industry , and company at it’s plant level needs to address.
